Coming Soon. Imagination Australia has the exciting opportunity to extend and upgrade a large scale innovation space to incorporate new technologies, products and a bespoke business solutions experience for key and prospective clients.
There are three core components of the space upgrade: A dual multitaction and parallel projector system with varying operational modes, a touchscreen application with a non linear UX progression and a CMS based digital display system driven by Imagination Australia's proprietary Digital Signage Platform displaying user generated and live feed content.
My role was to trouble shoot the UX journeys of each of the three components and identify and develop features and interactions that would help elevate the individual affordances of each system and platform. Furthermore, I was tasked with redesigning each application so that they could be distributed internationally onto different platforms.
Initial UX journey (concept) - multitaction application
I devised a use case scenario to account for when the user might place multiple unrelated objects were onto the multitaction table. Here the amount of content degrades in relation to the amount of objects placed and the modules are pulled into the closest corner of the table while still being anchored to the physical object.
I redeisgned the core composition of the application to span across two joined multitaction tables accounting for the centre bezel and constricting the core UI elements to the centre of the composition for accessibility.
I redesigned the multitaction and projector system so that it could be distributed internationally on a tablet and desktop setup. Here I had to find a way of creatively inputting data into the application that would have otherwise been registered by placing physical objects onto the multitaction table. I devised a horizontal carousel driven by haptic input and a global button that directed the user immediately to the products landing page

Driven by Imagination Australia's DSP, I designed a set of CMS based modular templates that could display varying ratios of copy and image/video based content. The DSP system also displays a set of templates driven by real time data like time, location, weather and RSS feeds.
